We are all striving to provide the very best outcomes for our pupils: we know that this is done through developing strong partnerships, through understanding the latest developments in research and by checking that our practice in the classroom is consistent and of high quality. This programme has been developed by leaders and practitioners from two teaching schools in the region to help participants recognise the essentials of highly effective practice and apply it in their classrooms for sustained high quality teaching and learning.

Who is the course aimed at?

This programme is designed for teachers who are keen to develop their classroom practice and are committed to developing their own and other colleagues’ CPD. It is designed to improve teaching and impact on pupil outcomes through deepening pedagogy – how can our teaching be even better?

Participants benefit from face-to-face training sessions, time to put their thinking into practice in their own setting and to work with colleagues from other schools.  Collaborative learning, learning walks, time for reflection, engaging and thought-provoking activities ensure colleagues are provided with opportunities to deepen their thinking and develop their practice.

An ethos of sharing and developing teaching and learning ideas is enhanced by inter-sessional tasks and supported by experienced facilitators.
